The Navy League - Panama supports a wide range of worthwhile projects in Panama. Navy League volunteers visit these projects to assess the need and how we can assist. In some cases, it is simply a case of raising small amounts of money. The flooring at the Academia de Boxeo in Colon is one example. Another is for the Omar Moreno Foundation for disadvantaged kids. The foundations currently has 300 kids learning baseball and life lessons from world champion ball player, Omar Moreno who played with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Kansas City Royals.
Many people who are new to living in Panama are searching for ways of giving to their new home. the question then becomes, “Whom do I trust to get the money where it belongs?”
The Navy League’s stellar board of directors and its reputation among the business and governmental community should help provide comfort for potential donors.
Here are the current projects we are raising funds for:
Navy League - Panama Scholarship Fund for two deserving students
Omar Moreno Foundation -- Large flat screen TV for use in the classroom. This TV will enable the students to watch videos of their performance and refine their skills.
